We apply an approach to creating and enabling organization change called Appreciative Inquiry (AI). AI is a blending of philosophy, methodology and practices that build on the best in and what gives life to living systems (our organizations, communities and teams) when they are most alive, most effective and most constructively capable. Unlike problem-solving approaches to change that focus on finding what is broken, what is wrong (and often who is wrong), AI is a strength-based approach to change that generates positive energy and inspired action for change—change that is grounded in the strengths, assets talents and capabilities inherent in the system.
